Dear Donor,
We are delighted to share an important milestone in the journey of Bala Mandir Schools — the successful expansion and modernisation of our school building in Chennai.
This project marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing quality, holistic education to children from disadvantaged backgrounds, while also serving the wider community. The newly enhanced campus was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished guests from Boeing India, Saint-Gobain India, reflecting the strong partnerships that continue to support our mission.
Today, Bala Mandir Schools serve 400 students, with plans to expand to nearly 800 in the coming years. As always, education at the school remains entirely free of cost,
made possible through the generosity of institutional partners and donors like you. All the beneficiaries are from socio economically weak sections and every child needs a sponsor to support part of the education cost.
The expanded infrastructure has been thoughtfully designed to nurture all-round development. It now includes modern classrooms, science and computer laboratories, a dedicated STEM learning facility, sports infrastructure, and a 450+ seater auditorium for cultural and co-curricular activities. Together, these spaces create an environment where children can learn, explore, and grow with confidence.

Thanks to partners like Guru Krupa Foundation, we continue to support our students with free nutritious meals – breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks – along with an after-school programme that offers sports, co-curricular activities, and additional academic support, including remedial learning where needed.
The total cost of the School Expansion & Modernisation Project stands at approximately ₹16 crore, with ₹12 crore invested to date. This milestone project has been made possible through the generous support of partners such as Braade Stiftung (Denmark), Saint-Gobain India Pvt Ltd., Boeing India Pvt Ltd., Aptus Value Housing Finance India Ltd., United Industries Plastic Pvt. Ltd., SKCL and many well-wishers who believe in our vision.
